About Daruvu
Daruvu is a high-octane Telugu fantasy-action comedy featuring ‘Mass Maharaja’ Ravi Teja in a dual role. Directed by Siva, the film blends commercial masala elements with a supernatural twist, reminiscent of classic socio-fantasy films like Yamagola. The story follows Baalu, a small-time crook who gets killed prematurely due to a clerical error in Yamaloka. To rectify the mistake, Yamadharma Raja sends Baalu’s soul back to Earth into the body of Home Minister Ravindra, a corrupt and powerful politician who was recently assassinated.
The film’s plot centers on the chaos that ensues as the mischievous Baalu takes over the life of the stern Home Minister, using his new power to right wrongs while navigating the hilarious bureaucracy of the afterlife.
